Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, abbreviated LCNEC and LCNE[1], can be thought of as the large cell variant of small cell carcinoma.

These are rare tumours with a poor prognosis.

Pulmonary LCNEC is dealt with in the small cell carcinoma of the lung article. Neuroendocrine tumours, in general, are dealt with in neuroendocrine tumours.
