Nevus lipomatosus superficialis, abbreviated NLS, is an uncommon benign skin lesion seen on young adults.

It is also known as nevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (abbreviated NLCS) and nevus lipomatosus.[1]

General

Clinically separated into:[4]

  • Solitary - one lesion.
  • Multiple - more than one lesion.

Gross

  • Pedunculated lesion.
  • Soft.
  • Usually lower trunk or gluteal region.[5]
