Sperm granuloma

General

  • Extravasated sperm.
  • Common post-vasectomy.[1][2]
  • May present as a mass.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Sperm - small darking staining ovoid bodies.
    • The tail is generally no seen in light microscopy.
  • Histocytes +/-intracytoplasmic sperm.[3]
  • +/-Multi-nucleated giant cells.
