Cautery artifact, also cautery/crush artifact and crush artifact, may mimic disease. It usually represents the surgical margin.
Microscopic
Features:
- Elongated thin toothpick-like nuclei.
DDx:
- Dysplasia - adenomatous polyps
- Electrocution.
