Laryngeal carcinoma is a subset of head and neck pathology.

General
- 95% of laryngeal carcinomas.[2]
Risk factors:[2]
- Smoking.
- Alcohol.
Carinoma - subclassification by site
It is generally divided the following way:[3]

- Prevalence - glottis > supraglottis > subglottis.
- Glottic carcinoma tend to present earlier (as they affect phonation) and, therefore, have a better prognosis.
