Radiation colitis is inflammation of the colon due to radiation.

Features - acute:[1]
- Mucosal changes:
- Necrosis of epithelium.
- "Ghost cells" = cells without nuclei.
- Hemorrhage.
- Submucosa edema with neutrophilic infiltrate.
- +/-Fibrin thrombi.
