Papillary cystadenoma of the epididymis
Comment: This may occur in von Hippel-Lindau disease. In the context of von Hippel-Lindau disease, it is usually bilateral and the patient is younger.
The main (morphologic) differential diagnosis is clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
The immunoprofile of this lesion is like clear cell tubulopapillary renal cell carcinoma (also known as clear cell papillary RCC); it is CK7 positive, CD10 negative, AMACR negative, PAX8 positive.[1] One should check if there is a kidney mass.
